Baldwin County Nonprofits Receive Grants to Close Youth Opportunity Gap
Foundation: Community Foundation of South Alabama
The Community Foundation of South Alabama has awarded $383,277 in grants to 36 nonprofit organizations in its eight-county region in Southwest Alabama, aiming to close the opportunity gap among local youth, AL.com reports.
The grants support programs focusing on mental and behavioral health, education, family support, racial equity, and arts and culture.
Three organizations in Baldwin County were among the recipients: the Dream Center of Baldwin County, the South Baldwin Literacy Council, and the Eastern Shore Art Center.
"We remain steadfast in our support of nonprofits and programs dedicated to our local youth because we believe in the power of young minds to transform our community," says foundation CEO Rebecca Byrne.
"By investing in their growth and potential, we are building a foundation for a brighter future for all."
